About Cetirizine

Cetirizine Hydrochloride tablets are used to prevent or alleviate the symptoms of a range of irritating allergies. Cetirizine is ideal for treating seasonal allergies, as well as those allergy symptoms that appear all year-round. It is used particularly to alleviate the symptoms of pet allergies, dust allergies, skin allergies, hay fever as well as a range of other mild allergic reactions.

Cetirizine works by reducing histamine in the body. Histamines are a chemical produced by the body which produces allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itchy and watery eyes and a runny nose.

How to Use Cetirizine 10mg Tablets

Adults and children over 6 years old: Take one tablet once daily.

Children under 6: Cetirizine tablets are unsuitable for children under 6. Cetirizine Hydrochloride 5mg/5ml Oral Solution is recommended instead.

Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 1 tablet a day.

Cetirizine Side Effects

Not everyone will experience the same side effects when they take Cetirizine. In certain cases, most individuals will not experience side effects at all.

Potential side effects from the use of Cetirizine can include:

Drowsiness, headache, dizziness, agitation, dry mouth or gastrointestinal discomfort.
