Vitamin C is just one example of the vitamins included within the Wellwoman 50+ formula that has a variety of different benefits. The addition of Vitamin C, plus Vitamin E, within the supplement help to contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, as well as increasing iron absorption within the body. Iron is commonly sourced within red meat, resulting in the supplement being beneficial to vegetarians as a way of getting an intake of iron, which they could miss out on in their meat-free diet. Iron contributes to the normal formation of haemoglobin and the normal transportation of oxygen around the body to major organs, and is vital in supporting our health.

Do You Have Any Advice For Those Who Find It Difficult to Swallow Tablets or Capsules?
There are many people who find it difficult to swallow tablets. This has led to Vitabiotics researching the issue to examine different methods that may help. One recommendation is to chew some food, and just before you swallow it put the tablet into your mouth, then swallow both tablet and food together. Follow this method with drinking some liquid. Our throats open up wider in order to swallow chewed food, and this can therefore help the tablets go down with greater ease.
Alternatively, for tablets only (not capsules that contain liquid), you could try breaking the tablet into two or three pieces before swallowing with plenty of liquid. You may also find it easier to take tablets or capsules with a thicker liquid, such as a smoothie or yoghurt, as these may make it easier for you to swallow. With any of these recommendations, ensure you have enough liquid for the supplement to be swallowed.
Is It Safe For Some Nutrient Reference Value (NRV) Levels To Go Above 100%?
Every single vitamin and mineral needs to be assessed and considered on an individual basis in terms of its upper safe level.
The Nutrient Reference Value refers to the recommended daily intake of a vitamin or mineral - it helps to prevent basic deficiency states in the general population. Some of Vitabiotics formulas have certain nutrient levels that are greater than 100% NRV, and this is due to the fact that certain vitamins and minerals at optimal levels, above the NRV, have consistently proven to have positive benefits in specific areas of health.
Vitabiotics have always emphasised the importance of using moderate, safe and sensible levels of vitamins and minerals that are carefully balanced to maximise their combined effect, while avoiding ‘mega dose’ levels of isolated nutrients. This is an approach that has been reinforced by both researchers and experts throughout the years. All Vitabiotics products are developed utilising the most recent research, and therefore include effective levels of vitamins and minerals.
